In 2017 Genaro collaborated with Thomas McDonell and the Arturo Bandini Gallery in Los Angeles putting together the first issue of a new audio magazine, BLOW OUT. The magazine included new original material by Genaro and an eclectic group (from conceptual sound artist Mungo Thompson to pioneering punk musician David Yow to voice actress Mae Whitman...)

A recital in Paris, January 2017 in the winter that evoked among other images the tropical splendor of Indonesia. I love the idea that the inspiration for the Java Suite came from Godowsky’s travels as he visited Indonesia. These are for me musical post-cards or in Godowsky’s own words “Phonoramas” from a time (1925) before digicams and 24-hour travel channels.

Masterclass for over 200 young choristers each in both Bulawayo and Harare in Zimbabwe during his 2016 tour.

“Silence and Splendour”
A performance highlighting Genaro’s passion for Portuguese piano music in Cascais, Portugal March 2017…Genaro tours with “Silence and Splendour” performing in Los Angeles, Paris, and Zimbabwe. In this successful concert series Genaro originally combines and contrasts shorter more challenging pieces by for instance Lucio Berio with longer works like J.S. Bach’s Chromatic Fantasia in D minor, BWV 903 in August 2016.
